Let's address three common barriers that may be hindering your journey towards elegance. By identifying and overcoming these obstacles, you can unlock your true potential and embrace your unique style with confidence. Let's delve into these three factors that might be blocking you from being elegant and discover how to overcome them.

1. The Fear of What Other People Might Think:

One of the most significant barriers to elegance is the fear of judgment from others. It is natural to seek validation, but allowing the opinions of others to dictate your choices can hinder your personal style and inhibit your elegance. Embrace the courage to express your individuality and let go of the fear of what others might think. Focus on your own happiness and confidence, and you will radiate elegance effortlessly.

• Start by acknowledging that everyone has different tastes and preferences.

Embrace the fact that not everyone will appreciate or understand your unique style, and that's perfectly okay.

• Surround yourself with supportive and like-minded individuals who appreciate and celebrate your individuality.

Also, the thing you need to understand is that people don't think of you as much as you think they do, their thoughts are actually focused on what other people think of them... And if anyone come to you pointing out the fact that you are elegant in a way that is not complimenting, they are most likely projecting their insecurities on you, wishing they had your "courage" to dress the way you want.

2. Being Unsure of Who You Are and How to Translate It into Your Own Style:

Another obstacle to elegance is being unsure of your own identity and how to translate it into your personal style. Understanding who you are, your values, and your passions is crucial in developing an elegant and authentic style that reflects your true self. I always say getting dressed is an art, I like the fact that my mood, personality, lifestyle can be translated through my outfit.

To overcome this barrier, take the time for self-reflection and self-discovery.

Explore your:

• interests, •hobbies, and •values to gain a deeper understanding of yourself.

Consider what makes you feel confident and comfortable. Experiment with different styles, colours, and silhouettes to find what resonates with you. Seek inspiration from fashion icons, but remember to adapt their styles to suit your own personality.

3. Not Knowing Where to Start:

Many individuals are overwhelmed by the idea of cultivating elegance because they simply do not know where to start. The vast world of fashion, etiquette, and personal development can be intimidating, but taking small steps can make a significant difference.

Start by educating yourself. Read books, blogs, and magazines on fashion, etiquette, and personal development. Seek inspiration from elegant individuals and observe their style and behaviour. Experiment with small changes, such as improving your posture, refining your grooming routine, or incorporating classic pieces into your wardrobe. Gradually build your knowledge and confidence, and remember that elegance is a journey, not an overnight transformation (I will never stress that enough).

I strongly suggest to consider seeking guidance from professionals or enrolling in courses that focus on personal style, etiquette, or self-improvement. Why not invest in a session with an image consultant who will be able to help you determine the colours and shapes that suit you the best? Surround yourself with a supportive community that shares your passion for elegance, as they can provide valuable advice and encouragement, you can definitely find some elegance-savvy people on Instagram you can follow for inspiration.

It requires self-reflection, courage, willingness and patience to embrace your unique self.

Letting go of the fear of judgment, understanding the values you want people to perceive through your style, and taking small steps towards refinement, will help you reach your goal of authentic elegance.
