Flowers speak a language. Know which flowers can be offered and which cannot be offered for Valentine’s Day.

From declaring your love to breaking-up, flowers are a subtle and elegant way to deliver a message. If you intend to buy flowers this year for Valentine’s Day, it might be helpful to have a quick look at flowers and their meanings.

Let’s start with the flowers that cannot be offered on such occasion:

Anemones,

daisies ,

and all yellow flowers

They are more suitable for a break-up than a declaration of love, especially the yellow flowers that are used to demonstrate friendship.

  • To seduce, you can go for light pink roses, it is romantic but you are not taking any risk with them. However, a bright pink rose, with its perfect elegant rounded shape and its delicate fragrance will do the talk.

  • And if you are shy,

a bouquet of violets is very less expected but will deliver a romantic message of seduction with a hint of shyness.

  • For more passion, the timeless symbol of love: the red rose.

  • What can be fun to do is to offer a multicolor bouquet with one red rose among the flowers for a very subtle love declaration.

  • And for any professional relationship, if you want to offer flowers without telling the person an unintended message, the best option is a beautiful bouquet with different flowers and colors.

That way, if individually, these flowers have a meaning; messages will be “lost” by mixing all of them together.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
